چکیده
Neuromorphic vision sensor is an attractive technology that offers high dynamic range, and low latency which are crucial in robotic applications. However, the lack of event-based data this field, limits sensors’ performance a real-world environments. In paper, we propose novel augmentation technique for neuromorphic sensors to improve contact force measurements from events. The proposed method shifts proportion events across time domain, ’Temporal Event Shifting’, augment dataset. A new set grasping experiments performed validate analyze effectiveness measurements. results indicate temporal event shifting highly effective improves models’ accuracy estimation by thirty percent without performing experiments.

Frequency-domain force measurements for discrete event contact recognition
Discrete event recognition based on force measurements in the frequency-domain is presented. The force signals arise from interaction between the workpiece and the environment in a planar assembly task. The discrete events are modeled as Hidden Markov Models (HMMs), where the models are trained oo-line with the Baum-Welch re-estimation algorithm. After the HMMs have been trained, we use them on...
متن کاملContact Sensing from Force Measurements
This paper addresses contact sensing, i.e. the problem of resolving the location of a contact, the force at the interface and the moment about the contact normals is presented. Called \intrinsic" contact sensing for the use of internal force and torque measurements, this method allows for practical devices which provide simple, relevant contact information in practical robotic applications. Suc...
متن کاملMicrofluidic tactile sensors for three-dimensional contact force measurements.
A microfluidic tactile sensing device has been first reported for three-dimensional contact force measurement utilizing the microfluidic interfacial capacitive sensing (MICS) principle. Consisting of common and differential microfluidic sensing elements and topologically micro-textured surfaces, the microfluidic sensing devices are intended not only to resolve normal mechanical loads but also t...
متن کاملNote: Thermal analog to atomic force microscopy force-displacement measurements for nanoscale interfacial contact resistance.
Thermal diffusion measurements on polymethylmethacrylate-coated Si substrates using heated atomic force microscopy tips were performed to determine the contact resistance between an organic thin film and Si. The measurement methodology presented demonstrates how the thermal contrast signal obtained during a force-displacement ramp is used to quantify the resistance to heat transfer through an i...
متن کاملThigh-calf contact force measurements in deep knee flexion.
BACKGROUND Knee models often do not contain thigh-calf contact which occurs in deep knee flexion. Thigh-calf contact is expected to reduce muscle forces and thereby affects internal stresses in the knee joint. The purpose of this study was to measure thigh-calf contact forces. Two deep knee flexion activities were selected: squatting and kneeling. METHODS Ten healthy subjects participated in ...
